Branching out of DJ MoCity's all-vinyl radio show, City Goes Wax Traxx is a new compilation series anchored by the creative use of sampling of records from DJ MoCity's personal collection.

Whittled down to a trio of traxx from the first batch of submissions from India and beyond, number 001 opens up with deliriously dank funk from Dubai's prana, piping water into your cells like an oasis in the lurid desert heat. baazi from Pune then whips up a slow burner, balancing the plangent and the pleasing in a five-minute sojourn of pure hypnosis for tired minds. Wrapping up, an air of sublimity permeates Vancouver-based Sepoys' cut where soul-nourishing swathes of warm, aqueous bass are juxtaposed by crystalline breaks and moody mechanics.
